My project

I found this entry table at a garage sale for $5. I have wanted one for a while, but just can't bring myself to pay over $200.00 for one. I sanded it down, primed, painted it and redid the hardware at the bottom so that I could place a shelf down there for books and other things. (Storage space is the key) I still have not painted the bottom shelf because I had to buy the piece of wood at Home Depot and cut it to size and sand it, but I just couldn't wait to show it off. I found the matching lamp bases at D.I and found perfect lamp shades for them at ROSS. I already had the mirror and probably should paint the frame too, but when I look in pottery barn magazine they are always mixing and matching wood colors, so maybe I won't. If anyone has any decorating advice on the wood colors let me know.

Love it! Don't paint the mirror - definitely mix 'n match.
