Sundance

The last few weeks have been an exciting diversion from my usual day to day activities of McDonalds Playland and laundry. This year for the annual ever so near Sundance film festival in Park City, Jason and I to our own surprise did not see one film. (With the exception of a few most are not worth seeing). However, we spent a lot of time there. Jason has plans to actually submit a documentary next year. He recently received a phone call from Kenny Chesney's manager giving him the go ahead to tell Andy Gibson's story, so we were out and about making connections with some friends from L.A. Thanks to them we got into some of the gifting suites where I scored Oakley sunglasses, Frye boots, Brazillian sandals and lots of make-up and spa certificates to some of Park City's finest. We also got to see Josh Groban live at a private charity auction to which Tommy Davidson (pictured above) from "In Living Color"was the M.C , who referred to Jason as a "Soprano". Brittany Murphy (she really is tinkerbell) just happened to be in one of the same gifting suites that we got into.
Later in the week Jason got some contact information from Rachael Dratch from SNL and Danny Glover as well. There are lots of people there hoping to meet the right person and get that one connection they need to make their project happen. You never know who you are going to run into. Including the self proclaimed "gay mormon" from Provo that just won last seasons "Survivor". In fact I ran into an old High School friend who travels with the film festivals doing exhibition. I hardly recognized him with his artistic look of beard and long hair.
